Why Proper Tree Planting Matters

✔ Root Flare Exposure – Trees should never be planted too deep. The root flare (where the trunk meets the roots) must be visible above ground. Burying it can cause long-term stress, decay, and even death.

✔ Girdling Roots – Many nursery-grown trees develop roots that circle inside their containers. If not properly addressed before planting, these roots can strangle the tree over time. We inspect and correct girdling roots to give your tree a healthy future.

❌ Poor Soil & Drainage – The hole must be properly prepared, allowing water to drain and roots to penetrate the surrounding soil. Poorly dug holes can cause water to pool or roots to struggle against compacted walls, leading to stunted growth.

In nature, trees don’t grow alone. They thrive in diverse plant communities. We encourage planting trees with companion plants, including native perennials and nitrogen-fixing species to support soil health and tree growth.

✔ Soil Health & Beneficial Microbes – Trees rely on rich, living soil full of beneficial microbes. We offer organic amendments, including microbial inoculants, to jumpstart healthy root systems.
✔ Mulch Matters – We use aged arborist wood chips, a natural, fungal-rich mulch that nourishes the soil and suppresses weeds. Unlike decorative mulches, our mulch supports local ecosystems and mimics natural forest floors.
❌ No Landscape Fabric or Rock – These suffocate soil life and make it harder for trees to establish. Instead, we promote healthy soil practices.

Our Proprietary Tree Inoculant Blend

We use our own custom blend of organic liquid inoculant, designed to boost tree health by enhancing soil microbiology. This natural formula helps break down organic matter, making nutrients more accessible to your tree, while promoting beneficial microbial life that supports strong root development. Our blend works with nature to establish healthier, more resilient trees from day one.

Pricing & Additional Services

Our planting services start at $90 base fee plus $10 per gallon of plant material.

✔ Mulching – Using locally sourced arborist wood chips for optimal soil health.
